Understanding Foreskin Problems

Foreskin covers and protects the glans penis and act as natural lubricant during sexual intercourse. But foreskin may become subject to a number of conditions, such as Redundant Foreskin, Balanitis Xerotica Obliterates, Short Frenulum, and Pearly Penile Papules. Most of the conditions can be easily treated by minor surgeries like simple circumcision and frenulum lengthening.

Foreskin hygiene is also crucial in preventing some of the foreskin problems. Cleaning the foreskin everyday by pulling it back gently and wash with mild soap, can prevent bacteria and smegma from accumulating under the foreskin. Thus, prevent infection and inflammation of the glans penis.
